InternshipsInternships are of vital importance to engineering students who prepare for careers in private industry, consulting, government and research. Internships bridge the gap between theory and practice, and provide students with practical, field-based, real-world experiences during their years of study at Tufts. Nearly 80% of Tufts engineering students participate in at least one internship as an undergraduate. School of Engineering students are strongly encouraged to participate in internships during their undergraduate years, typically during the summer after their sophomore and/or junior year. Tufts Career Services Office and the School of Engineering work collaboratively to identify and develop opportunities for students. Tufts engineering students have interned at software and electronics companies, research laboratories, consulting firms, government agencies, biotechnology giants, and entrepreneurial enterprises. Students seeking internships should have a professional resume written by you and critiqued by Career Services before applying for opportunities. Tufts posts internship opportunities on Tufts Career Connect, and many other sources are available. Internship Links
