ASCE At Tufts – A Strong Legacy
Times have changed in the 129 years since the inception of
the engineering program here at Tufts, but the level of scholarship and
success of its students and graduates has remained firm. The ASCE Tufts
Chapter has traditionally involved some of Tufts’ most dedicated
engineers.

Today, the ASCE Tufts Chapter is as active as ever, and
continues to foster a community of highly motivated and enthusiastic
engineers. ASCE-sponsored activities and events at Tufts include the Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe teams, local
community service, the annual Kids’ Day booth, guest speakers and field
trips, the annual Spring Barbecue, Trivia Nights, the revered student-faculty
softball game, and more.

Make a Donation
There are
currently over 90 members in the Tufts chapter of ASCE, and most importantly,
this year we increased our active membership. For example, the Steel Bridge
team, which previously consisted of 6 members, expanded to 15 active and 5
part time participants this year.
With the increased enthusiasm in ASCE we have planned many new and
exciting events for the year ahead.
We are planning a community service event to build concrete handicap
ramps at nearby schools and we are planning our first environmental
project. As usual, the Concrete
Canoe team and Steel Bridge Team will be competing in their respective
events, and we will be having our annual barbeque/softball game. However, your support is needed to
help us to continue to expand and improve our programs. We would greatly appreciate any
assistance in the form of a donation from you or your organization to help
us have another successful year.
If you would like to donate, please print and fill out the form
linked below and mail it to the address listed.
