American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
Tufts student chapter of the American Society of Civil
Engineers helps civil engineering students create
professional contacts and associations. Typical society
activities include: participating in the steel bridge and
concrete canoe competitions, hosting trivia nights,
listening to invited speakers, and taking field trips.
Engineers Without Borders (EWB)
Engineers Without Borders
is a non-profit humanitarian organization
established to partner with developing communities worldwide
in order to improve their quality of life. This partnership
involves the implementation of sustainable engineering
projects, while involving and training internationally
responsible engineers and engineering students.
Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
Society of Women Engineers bridges the gap between women
engineering students, industry and young girls with
interests in science. Members participate in social events,
professional events as well as community service projects.
SWE invites all Tufts students, not just women engineers to
join.
Tau Beta Pi
Tau Beta Pi is the only engineering honor society
representing the entire engineering profession. It is the
nation's second-oldest honor society, founded at Lehigh
University in 1885 to recognize students of distinguished
scholarship and exemplary character.
