Experience as a structural/geotechnical engineer and project manager for railroad and highway bridges (prestressed concrete, steel), new and renovated; cut-and-cover tunnels; rehabilitation of existing tunnels; value engineering of large highway and subway projects; development of computer-aided design methods; analysis and design for soil-structure interaction; construction staging and analysis of deep excavations/underground construction; project manager for design contracts; project manager and group supervisor for technical analysis/design projects

Awards

  • 1991 Young Engineer of the Year, awarded by Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers
  • Winner, 1990 William Barclay Parsons Fellowship. Awarded by Parsons Brinckerhoff to acknowledge and support applied research. 1990 award granted for development of an automated analysis and design system for cut and cover tunnels.
  • Finalist, 1991 William Barclay Parsons Fellowship. Stipend granted to support development of applied expert system programming for conditions of long term bridge design.
