Research Interests

Numerical and analytical modeling of porous media flow and reactive transport, organic contaminants and geological storage of carbon dioxide

Dr. Elenius' research interests include environmental applications to multiphase and miscible porous media flow and reactive transport. Her work focuses on numerical and analytical modeling approaches that can give new insights to the transport and remediation of non-aqueous phase liquids such as chlorinated solvents, and to the risk assessment related to geological storage of carbon dioxide. She has experience in porous media flow, including seven years of consulting on contaminated sites in Karlskrona, Sweden and her works as a senior researcher at the Center of Integrated Petroleum Research in Bergen, Norway. She is presently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Tufts School of Engineering.
