Second Major in Biotechnology and Biotechnology Engineering Minor

In addition to the BSChE degree program, students may enroll in a second major in Biotechnology (engineering track). The program is offered as a major only in conjunction with enrollment in the BSChE program. The second major in Biotechnology requires the successful completion of two core courses and four concentration electives.

The Department offers a Biotechnology Engineering Minor which requires the completion of five courses. No more than two of these courses may be used to fulfill a foundation or concentration requirement of the primary BSChE degree program. While not relevant to chemical engineering students, the Department also offers a Chemical Engineering minor.
