Ph.D., Chemical Engineering, University of Maryland College Park, 2004
Darryl Williams explores the effects of nanostructured materials on biological systems. In addition to nanobiotechology research, he is deeply involved in engineering education research with an emphasis on studying the structural, behavioral, and functional components of learning environments that foster and sustain student-driven innovation. As director of the Center for STEM Diversity, Williams leads the recruitment, retention, and engagement of students from underrepresented groups in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
