All are invited to this event exploring the role of women in STEM, addressing the historical and contemporary challenges facing them, and celebrating the successes of women scientists. Dinner from 5:30-6:30, lecture from 6:30-8:30 PM. Dr. Ellen Ochoa, a veteran astronaut, was the 11th director of the Johnson Space Center. She was the JSC's first Hispanic director and its second female director. She was the first Hispanic woman to go to space.
