Girls Get SET for Life: Science, Engineering, and Technology is a program sponsored by the The Discovery Museums in Acton, MA and Tufts University School of Engineering (Medford, MA) under a grant from Lucent Technologies Foundation. The goal of the project is to promote interest and aptitude in science, engineering, and technology in teams of middle school girls by developing and producing museum exhibits to be displayed in The Science Discovery Museum.
Successful completion of this project provides a model for collaboration between schools, universities, and museums thoughout the country, as well as developing a tool to promote interest in science and engineering in girls and young women.
