2017-present Visiting Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tufts University
2015-2018 Postdoctoral Fellow, University of California-Berkeley
2014-2015 AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow, U.S. Department of Energy
After receiving her doctorate, Deborah Sunter advanced her understanding of energy policy as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy. Combining her interests in science and policy, she became a postdoctoral fellow in the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory at the University of California-Berkeley, and joined the technical advisory board for CalWave Power Technologies. Using computational modeling and data science techniques, she is able to explore the interface of technology innovation and policy for improved environmental sustainability. She will join the Tufts Department of Mechanical Engineering in the fall of 2018.
