Engineers part of winning team

Five engineering students are members of the men's Track & Field team that won the New England Division III Indoor Title.

Mechanical engineering students Josh Etkind, E19 and Matthew Manteiga, E21, biomedical engineering students Roman Lovell, E20, and Tom DePalma, E18, and computer science student James Gregoire, E19, all participated in Tufts Track & Field's win at the New England Division III championship this month. Tufts won four events, earned three runner-up performances, placed third in two events, and set three facility records. 

Etkind won first place in the 600 meter hurdles, while Lovell and DePalma were on the second-place team in the 4x800 relay. Lovell also placed seventh in the 1,000 meter run. In field sports, Gregoire placed seventh in the heptathalon and Manteiga placed seventh in the long jump.
