At the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society New England Chapter Symposium and Expo this month, Daniela Torres presented a paper titled “Co-fabrication of micro-coaxial interconnects and substrate junctions for multi-chip microelectronic systems,” which received the "Best Student Paper" award.

Daniela Torres received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 2016 and will graduate from the M.S. program this spring. She won first place in the same category at the 2017 symposium.

The work was done in collaboration with Professor Robert White of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, as well as with Caprice Gray-Haley, Tony Kopa, Brian Smith, Sara Baron and Peter Lewis at Draper Labs in Cambridge, MA.
