Biography: 

Anna Thornton earned her B.S.E. from Princeton University and her Ph.D. from Cambridge University, and was a faculty member in MIT’s Department of Mechanical Engineering for six years. Prior to her current position at Dragon Innovation, she was a partner at Analytics Operations Engineering. She is currently the Director of Engineering and Quality at Dragon Innovation, where she helps new hardware startups take a prototype design through to full production and implement world class quality systems.

During her time at MIT, Thornton's research focused on quality systems, product development, and manufacturing systems. At Analytics, she worked with a wide variety of companies to help them implement, streamline, and improve their quality and product development initiatives. She is the author of many articles, blogs, and a book on a variety of quality-related topics.
