Janet Krevolin is the Chief Technical Officer at privately-held medical device company Bio2 Technologies, Inc. She is currently working on commercialization of Bio2's VitriumĀ® platform technology. She has over 25 years experience in medical device research and product development. Her career has focused on R&D of medical devices, with particular attention to the musculo-skeletal system. She has been a professor of the practice in the Department of Biomedical Engineering since 2016.

Research Interests: 

Janet Krevolin's research interests include medical device design and development, most recently developing products using bioactive glass fibers and a proprietary manufacturing process to produce, for the first time, a resorbable construct that has the initial strength necessary to be load-bearing while stimulating new bone formation. She works with surgeons and clinicians to address unmet clinical needs, translate these unmet needs into a medical device, obtain regulatory (FDA, CE) clearance, and commercialize the product.
