Biography: 

Thomas Mooney is founder, president, and CEO of SOAR Engineering LLC, a prognostics and health management (PHM) consulting company. At SOAR Engineering LLC, he consults with industry and government agencies on the design and development of PHM systems. Prior to SOAR Engineering, Mooney was with GE Aircraft Engines and Raytheon Company. He was a member of MIT’s Software System Safety Working Group and the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18E/F System Safety Working Group. He is a qualified accident investigator and has investigated several aircraft mishaps. At Tufts Gordon Institute, Mooney is a lecturer in sustainability.
