Skander Limem received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering & Biotechnology for his work in developing printable self-assembling hydrogels for use in the bio-fabrication of tissue analogs done in collaboration with the Tissue Resource Center (TERC) at Tufts Univaersity. Skander is currently the Director of New Product Innovation at Tepha Medical, Inc. He is a seasoned strategic engineering leader with 16+ years of experience in building & managing multidisciplinary teams and full life-cycle development of medical device and combination products. Skander has a proven track record of successful first-to-market biomaterial clearances (including silk, P4HB, and PBS) for use in breakthrough technologies including plastic & reconstructive repairs, drug delivery. and cell therapies. Skander worked in early-stage startup settings to manage the transition of these new biomaterial platforms from front end innovation to successful commercialization, partnership, and acquisition.
