Biography: 

Bonan Min is a Senior Scientist and the head of the text research group at Raytheon BBN Technologies (BBN). He is the PI of several Natural Language Processing (NLP) research programs such as DARPA World Modelers, Causal Exploration, IARPA Better Extraction from Text Towards Enhanced Retrieval (BETTER), and has contributed to many NLP research programs in the past. He received his Ph.D. from New York University and B.S. from Peking University, both in Computer Science. He has more than 30 publications. He is an associate editor of ACM Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing, served as an area chair for information extraction at NAACL 2018 and video chair for EMNLP 2018, and has served as program committee members for top-tier NLP conferences such as ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, AAAI, COLING, etc. His latest research interests are information extraction, cross-lingual NLP, and information retrieval.
