Explore careers in academia in this afternoon of panels and discussions with faculty and deans. Discuss finding and applying for positions, the interview process, and the negotiation phase.
Key points of conversation include: discussion of academic job search timelines, applicants' online presence, conversation on all components of the application package, discussion of what makes academic interviews unique (and what is shared with all job interviews), components of an academic offer, and time to compare academic job tracks and types of academic institutions.
Refreshments will be provided. This is a NOD workshop.
