Students receive academic awards

A number of engineering undergraduate students were honored for their academic achievements at the recent Tufts Honors Convocation.

At the annual Academic Awards Night, Tufts University applauds the accomplishments of the hundreds of students who have won awards and prizes sponsored by generous donors and various academic departments. At this year's event on Friday, April 21, almost 60 engineering majors were recognized. See the full list of recipients.

Among the students honored were four undergraduates from the Department of Electrical and Chemical Engineering who won academic awards. Andrew Bourhis, E17, received the Lieutenant Commander R.J. Manning Memorial Prize; Jorge Anton Garcia, E17, received the Prize Scholarship of the Class of 1882; Ryan Gill, E17, received the Benjamin G. Brown Scholarship; and Danielle Skufca, E18, received the Frederick Melvin Ellis Prize.

Recipients of Electrical and Computer Engineering department awards will be recognized at another awards ceremony this one dedicated to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering on May 12.
