A team of Tufts undergraduates reached the semi-final round of the Cyber 9/12 Competition in Washington, DC. The competition was hosted in partnership with Lockheed Martin and the Atlantic Council.

The team consisted of computer science majors Joseph Pajka (A19), Grant Versfeld (A22), Gabby Roncone (A19), and Ben Janis (A19). Members of the team also reached the second round of the 9/12 Competition held in New York City in October 2018.

Cyber 9/12 is a unique competition designed to provide students across academic disciplines with a deeper understanding of the policy challenges associated with cyber crisis and conflict. Students interact with expert mentors and cyber security professionals while attempting to solve problems like assessing the impact of a major cyber-attack, considering national responsibilities, and thinking through response options for the government and private sectors.
