The Department of Computer Science is delighted to recognize our newly-constituted External Advisory Board (EAB), whose role is to provide input and guidance to the department in pursuit of our mission: providing top-quality educational experiences for our students, advancing the state of knowledge through cutting-edge research, and finding solutions to important societal challenges. Members of the board consist of thought leaders from industry and academia, with a mix of alumni and supporters from outside Tufts. A full list, complete with bios, appears on our website.

The department held its first advisory board meeting on September 14, 2018, at which board members were treated to faculty overviews of the department’s undergraduate computer science majors, graduate programs in Human Robot Interaction, student panels on their curricular experiences and on the job search process, and a discussion on industrial relations. The Board left the meeting enthusiastic about connecting (or re-connecting) with Tufts and the desire to help us better deliver on our mission.
