Biography: 

Michael Corbett is currently Director of Applied Science with Divert, a technology company focused on solving the food waste crisis. Corbett and his team use the fundamentals of chemistry, biology, and engineering to create and continuously improve technical operation standards for anaerobic digestion of food waste at both Divert and partner facilities.

Corbett has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with over 15 years of experience applying chemical process engineering rigor to emerging technologies.  He has worked on both the technology owner and the engineering firm side throughout his career, giving him a unique perspective on project approach and execution from both sides.  Corbett’s experience spans a wide cross section of industries including petrochemical, biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, and clean energy where he has filled both management and engineering roles.
