Tufts combines the best of a liberal arts college atmosphere with the state-of-the-art technological resources of a research institution. Our engineering programs challenge conventional borders — of traditional curriculum restrictions, of research, of the idea of what it means to be an engineer in an increasingly global world. Our laboratory facilities, world-renowned faculty members, and a highly collaborative environment result in rigorous and cutting-edge programs.
Thirteen undergraduate degrees, including 8 programs accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission or the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET (http://www.abet.org), and M.S. and Ph.D. programs in 6 academic departments, plus the Tufts Gordon Institute and Center for Engineering Education and Outreach allow Tufts engineering students just the right balance of specialization and interdisciplinary study. Our graduates have the communication and leadership skills to excel wherever their paths take them, and they are making a difference in people's lives every day through their passion for innovation and commitment to excellence.
