Angela Bielefeldt

About Dr. Bielefeldt

Angela Bielefeldt teaches undergraduate and graduate courses for integrated design engineering and civil engineering students. Her research focuses on engineering education and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL). Key topics of this research include engineering ethics, social responsibility, sustainability, service-learning, and leadership. She has mentored a number of PhD students conducting engineering education research, and is excited to participate in leading CU Boulder's new PhD program in Engineering Education (starting in 2024).

She is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). She formerly served on the ASCE Body of Knowledge 3 Task Committee and Program Criteria Task Committee, as well as the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Committee on Scientific Freedom and Responsibility.
