Biography

Alva Couch came to Tufts University in 1982 as a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics. In 1988, he joined the Department of Computer Science as an assistant professor. In 1994, he was promoted to Associate Professor without limit of time. Prof. Couch is the recipient of many teaching and advising awards, including the Liebner award (1996) and the Seymour Simches award (2017).
