Leica TCS SP2 Microscope

The Leica SP2 is a similar system to the SP8s, using an inverted microscope and point laser scanning. It is limited, however, to confocal imaging modalities using only visible light excitation at 458, 476, 488, 514, 543 and 633nm.

• VIS lasers, cw: 458, 476, 488 and 514nm (Ar+);  543, 633nm (GreNe, HeNe)
• Descanned detectors: 2PMTs (spectral range 400-800nm, continuously tunable bandwidth)
• Objectives: 10x/0.30, 20x/0.70 (air);  40x/1.25(oil);  63x/1.2 (water)
