Each of our labs has a senior postdoctoral scholar or graduate student that is the Lab Leader. You MUST meet with them BEFORE you may work in that lab.
Undergraduate students are not permitted to work alone in the lab. Undergrads are eligible for card access after 1 semester of supervised activity in a lab. Default card access is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm; access outside of these hours is permitted with supervision from lab mentor(s).
As you work in the lab, there may be more trainings for specific instruments and labs that you need access to. You can do these on an ad hoc basis.
Card Access
Steps for obtaining card access: 1) Safety Training; 2) Instrument Training; 3) Lab Leader Training; 4) Submit request to Laura Place via Card Access Request.
As you determine what lab space and equipment is need you will need complete the Lab Leader training and instrument training. You can request those trainings when you are ready through the following links:
Please plan ahead - new projects may require registrations with Biosafety or Environmental Health & Safety.
