The Department of Biomedical Engineering offers certificates in Biomedical Engineering, Biophotonics, and Cellular Agriculture. Prepare to attend graduate school or improve your knowledge to join the workforce.

At Tufts, we provide the opportunity for academically talented, highly motivated adult students, with at least a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree (BS or BA) in any discipline with the appropriate mathematics and science background, to enhance their learning.

Current students in a Tufts MS program must formally apply for a certificate program, and be admitted at least two semesters before completing their primary graduate degree program, in order to be eligible to receive a concurrent certificate. Courses that were counted toward the bachelor’s and master’s degrees cannot be counted again for a certificate. Please see the SOE Graduate Handbook for additional information about this policy.
