MS in Chemical Engineering
Master's degrees require a minimum of 30 credits and the fulfillment of at least 10 courses at the 100-level or above with grades of S (satisfactory) or at least a B-.

- 6 elective courses
- Attendance in the Departmental Seminar Series
- Master of Science with thesis:
- 4 core courses
- 3 electives that emphasize individual research themes
- 9-credit thesis (research committee meetings and thesis defense)
- Attendance in the Departmental Seminar Series

Advanced Kinetics and Reaction Engineering | Application of chemical kinetics to the development and improvement of industrial processes; theories of chemical kinetics, complex kinetics, chain reactions; isothermal and polytropic reactor stability; stability criteria; oscillatory catalytic and non-catalytic reactions. |
ChBE 204 (3 credits) |
Advanced Transport Phenomena | Heat, mass, and momentum. Emphasis on coupling transport processes with chemical reaction in chemical and biological engineering. |
