MS and Fifth-Year Master's Degree Program

The Department of Biomedical Engineering offers programs leading to Master of Science (MS) degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering (Biomaterials), and Biophotonics. School of Engineering undergraduate students may also pursue a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree (BS/MS) through the Fifth-Year Master's Degree Program.

Each program can be taken on a part-time or full-time basis. Master’s degrees require a minimum of 30 SHUs and the fulfillment of at least 10 courses at the 100-level or above with grades of S (satisfactory) or at least a B-.
