The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers two undergraduate programs of study and three minors.

The School of Engineering offers exceptional Tufts undergraduate students the option of pursuing a combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree (BS/MS) as a thesis or non-thesis program.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers five master's degree programs that address a mixture of problems in fundamental engineering science as well as applications.

The Tufts Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, the Department of Mechanical Engineering participates in two interdisciplinary Joint-PhD programs: One in Materials Science and Engineering and one in Human-Robot Interaction.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers five certificate programs.
