MS in Mechanical Engineering - Degree Timelines
The department encourages students to customize their graduate experience at Tufts by choosing a degree timeline that works best for them. To assist students in determining the appropriate timeline, below are the three timeline options and recommended schedules for full-time students. Part-time students often complete their degrees under different timelines and are encouraged to discuss their timeline with their advisor.

* Important note for international students: it is crucial that students remain full-time (9 credits, typically 3 courses) to maintain their visa status. However, students may request a final semester reduced course load (https://icenter.tufts.edu/immigration/f1-students/f1-reduced-courseload/) through the International Center in their fourth semester at Tufts.
