Biography
Behrouz Abedian is an emeritus associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts School of Engineering. He first joined the department in 1986, after earning his M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from MIT.
Behrouz Abedian's research was in the area of fluid mechanics and its applications in fluidic systems. He has expertise in electrohydrodynamics, transport phenomenon and energy systems. Specific topics include low-voltage digital microfluidic devices, flow electrification of dielectric liquids in power systems, viscosity of suspensions, compressible fluid flow, and dental applicators.
