Joint PhD in Human-Robot Interaction

Students desiring to be admitted to this program must first (or simultaneously) be admitted to one of three other graduate programs at Tufts (so-called “home” departments). At this time these include: Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

For those in the Mechanical Engineering program, all of the requirements for the Mechanical Engineering PhD as well as those for the HRI PhD must be met. If a course satisfies the criteria for both sets of requirements, that course can be double-counted towards both. The degree awarded will be a "Joint PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Human-Robot Interaction".
