Biography
Steven Chapra is an environmental engineer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tufts School of Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and his B.S. and M.E. from Manhattan College. He has worked for the U.S. EPA, NOAA, Texas A&M University, and the University of Colorado. His teaching philosophy is based on respect for students, organization and professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject, fairness in evaluation, and rapport and listening. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and was a member of the inaugural group of Fellows for the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP).
