Research stresses an interdisciplinary approach to current and classical environmental health problems as they manifest themselves in society. Students study environmental pollutants, toxicology, the epidemiological aspects of infectious and chronic diseases, the use of biostatistics in the description of the distribution of disease, the effects of occupational exposures, and the applications of these context areas in the practice of environmental risk management.
