Career Panel: Positions in Cybersecurity Policy

Three people with a wide array of experience in cybersecurity policy will describe their roles, the value and impact of working in the area, and the type of training needed.

Sharon Bradford Franklin: Director of Surveillance and Cybersecurity Policy at New America’s Open Technology Institute. Previously executive director, Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board; member of the Cybersecurity Subcommittee for the Department of Homeland Security Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee.

Siobhan MacDermott: Leads Bank of America’s Global Cyber Public Policy team. Previously Risk and Cybersecurity Principal at Ernst and Young; Chief Information Security Officer for Utilidata, Inc.; Chief Policy Officer for AVG Technologies. And a Fletcher grad!

Liesyl Franz: Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Coordinator for Cyber Issues at the U.S. Department of State
