This workshop is for students preparing to give oral presentations of any kind – in class, at conferences, for thesis or dissertation defenses. Workshop will increase students’ awareness of best practices to reduce anxiety of public speaking and deliver effective presentations, including when communicating research.
Students will also have practice opportunities and will receive useful feedback from peers and the workshop facilitator: Luz Rodriguez, Assistant Director of the Academic Resource Center. Dr Rodriguez oversees the English for Academic Purposes and Oral Communication programs.
Light dinner will be available beginning at 5:30 pm. This is a NOD workshop.
