Conversation with President & CEO of Rocket Software

Join the Department of Computer Science on April 11 for a conversation with Andy Youniss of Rocket Software. The talk is titled "From the Garage to the Main Stage: Building a Long-Lasting Software Company."
Andy Youniss, president and CEO of Rocket Software, will give a talk at Tufts on April 11.

Andy Youniss will join the Department of Computer Science on Tuesday, April 11 for a conversation on software and entrepreneurship, titled "From the Garage to the Main Stage: Building a Long-Lasting Software Company." The talk will be followed by a Q&A session. The event will take place from 4:30 to 5:45 P.M. in Anderson Hall's Nelson Auditorium, and is open to the Tufts community.

About Andy Youniss:

Andy co-founded Rocket Software in 1990 and continues to guide the company’s growth through strategic technology investment, acquisitions, and partnerships, including actively managing Rocket’s longstanding relationship with IBM. A software engineer by trade, he understands the importance of building software that matters. He is also a guitarist and pianist, and has given talks on the connections and meaningful links between music, software, entrepreneurship, and business.

Though Rocket is a global company, Andy has made sure that Rocket stays connected with its Boston roots. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Boston Medical Center and sits on the board of Lovin’ Spoonfuls, a Boston-based nonprofit focused on food rescue and filling gaps in the food supply chain. He is a member of the Berklee College of Music Presidential Advisory Council.

Andy holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
