Staff Promotions in the School of Engineering
Staff members in the Tufts University School of Engineering provide invaluable services across departments, centers, and offices within the school. This year, the School of Engineering congratulates four hardworking staff members on the following promotions.
Teresa Aloi, Tufts Gordon Institute – Senior Program Administrator
Teresa Aloi started at Tufts in 2022 as a program coordinator at Tufts Gordon Institute (TGI). In her most recent promotion to senior program administrator, she works within the operations team at TGI, managing program logistics and ensuring student success. With a master's degree in higher education from Merrimack College, she brings a wealth of experience in student life to her role.
Carol Denning, Tufts Gordon Institute – Associate Director of the Derby Entrepreneurship Center
Carol Denning has held a variety of roles in the Derby Entrepreneurship Center since joining Tufts in 2015. As Associate Director of the Derby Entrepreneurship Center, she’ll continue to help students develop entrepreneurial skills both inside and outside the classroom through mentorship, advising, and organizing events, workshops, and seminars. She also serves as the program director for the Tufts Venture Accelerator, Tufts New Ventures Competition, and the Entrepreneurial Internship program.
Morgan Dent, Tufts Gordon Institute – Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist
Moving from marketing and communications specialist to senior marketing and communications specialist, Morgan Dent will continue to document student life, events, and innovative ideas at Tufts Gordon Institute. She brings a unique blend of experience in art galleries, higher education, and corporate industries to create engaging content for TGI. In her new role, she looks forward to showcasing student stories and innovation on social media.
Debra McKnight, Civil and Environmental Engineering – Administrative Coordinator
First as an administrative assistant and now as an administrative coordinator, Debra McKnight provides administrative support and coordinates operations for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her day-to-day work involves helping things run smoothly within the department, including organizing weekly seminars, processing financial transactions for faculty and students, and assisting with course registration. In her new role, McKnight continues to be a primary resource for students, faculty, staff, and other constituents in the department.
