The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) recently awarded Tufts School of Engineering with a Bronze Level Award in recognition of the School’s diversity, inclusion, and degree attainment outcomes.

The award acknowledged the School’s work to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion across undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs. The School was recognized for having established programs that support underrepresented populations pursuing engineering disciplines, initiatives that promote student retention, and K-12 outreach programs that engage underrepresented groups in STEM education.

Recognition is only available at the bronze level during the first year of this new ASEE program. The Bronze Level Award will extend through 2022, then the School may reapply and/or seek Silver and Gold Level recognitions if new, additional initiatives are noted.
