Germaine named to ASTM Board of Directors

Jack Germaine, a Research Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been elected to the ASTM International Board of Directors. Germaine will serve a three-year term beginning in January 2018. He is currently the chair of the ASTM International Committee D18 on Soil and Rock. 

ASTM International is one of the world's largest voluntary organizations dedicated to developing standards in steel, petroleum, edical devices, consumer products, annotechnology, additive manufacturing and more. ASTM volunteer members belong to one or more standards-writing committees that develop more than 12,000 ASTM standards found on the organization's website and in the 80-volume Annual Book of ASTM Standards
