Each year since 1955, the Tufts University Alumni Association (TUAA) recognizes six to 12 members of the Senior Class for their academic achievement, campus and community participation, and outstanding leadership.

Among this year's recipients were two engineering majors. Sebastian Torrente is a civil engineering and architecture major who is also completing a minor in French. He managed the Tufts Daily and the Urban Planning, Policy, and Prosperity group (UP3) during his time at Tufts.

Sara Willner-Giwerc is majoring in mechanical engineering, with a double minor in engineering education and engineering management. She is a member of the Tufts softball team and will be starting as a Ph.D. candidate in mechanical engineering at Tufts in the fall.

The Senior Awards celebration will be held on Saturday, April 14 in Gifford House. The event is free and registration is available online.
