Special Topics Data Analysis: Goal and Plan Recognition
CS 152-07 / DS 153-04 introduces concepts and techniques for recognizing behavior, intentions, goals, and plans. It presents formal definitions for various recognition problems, as well as a set of algorithms and approaches to solve each of them. The course consists of critical reading of papers, presentation of a paper in front of peers, and group discussions. The course is led by Assistant Professor Reuth Mirsky. Experimental College courses announced
Check out the Fall 2025 Experimental College courses (including 13 courses with Engineering HASS credit). Topics include the animal mind, the Apollo Missions, financial technology innovation, and social AI.

New ECE minors launched in Fall 2025
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has announced two new minor programs available in September 2025. The minors provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills – complementing your major program and enhancing readiness for interdisciplinary engineering careers.

Civil and Environmental Engineering Courses for Professional Engineers and PT/FT Graduate Students 
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers a wide range of area focused degrees that are relevant to the CEE profession. CEE supports both full and part-time study options to service the needs of a diverse student population. The majority of the course options are provided using a hybrid format and/or offered in late afternoons or early evenings to allow remote and in-person learning with maximum time flexibility. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) 101
Calling all Tufts students! We are excited to offer GIS 101 at the Tufts European Center in Talloires, France. GIS 101 in Talloires (cross listed with UEP 232 and ENV 107) will be fully integrated into the extraordinary setting in and around the European Center in Talloires and will offer full Tufts graduate/undergraduate credit. It is an amazing opportunity to see global applications for GIS while spending two weeks in an exceptionally beautiful environment. Learn more about GIS 101.

Undergraduate Co-Ops and Internships
School of Engineering students are strongly encouraged to participate in internships during their undergraduate years, typically during the summer after their sophomore and/or junior year. Tufts Career Center and the School of Engineering work collaboratively to identify and develop opportunities for students. Tufts engineering students have interned at software and electronics companies, research laboratories, consulting firms, government agencies, biotechnology giants, and entrepreneurial enterprises. Graduate Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Program
The SOE Co-Op Program offers engineering master’s students a unique opportunity to apply the theoretical principles they have learned in their coursework to real-world engineering projects. Get a sense of a company's culture and work environment, learn to interact with other colleagues in the field, and leverage your academic strength towards career advancement.
