About Johnson Lee 

Mr. Johnson Lee currently serves as the CEO of E Ink Holdings Inc. He is responsible for corporate growth strategies and management planning, leading E Ink to focus on ePaper technology research and development, and ePaper product production and sales operation.

Mr. Lee joined the company as Director of Research and Development of ePaper Systems in 2006 when the company entered the ePaper business through an acquisition from Philips. Since then, he has held various positions in the organization including being appointed President of E Ink Holdings Inc in June 2014 and CEO in December 2019. As CEO he has led E Ink’s business to grow from US$450 million to more than US$1,000 million in 2022 through establishing a strong ePaper ecosystem and co-developing the ePaper industry with partners. Today, he leads a company with a market capitalization of $10 billion, one of the top 20 companies in Taiwan by market value.

Mr. Lee has been the Chairman of Transcend Optronics, the ePaper module manufacturing arm of E Ink, since 2010 and the Chairman of Hydis Technology since 2012. He is concurrently serving as board of directors at various listed technology companies in Taiwan and some oversea companies.

Mr. Lee received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Tufts University in 1998. In 2024, he was named one of the 50 most influential people in Taiwan by Wealth Magazine and was awarded the 6th Presidential Innovation Award by Taiwan’s President. In 2023, he received the prestigious ERSO Award from the Pan Wen Yuan Foundation, one of Taiwan’s top honors in the semiconductor industry.
