Corey White Joins Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is excited to welcome Assistant Professor Corey White, effective August 1, 2026.
Prior to Tufts, White was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She has been the recipient of an Illinois Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship, an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and has received four Best Paper awards at international conferences. Her research focuses on the synthesis of novel III-V semiconductors and emerging epitaxial growth techniques by molecular beam epitaxy for (opto)electronic applications.
White received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. With research interests in (opto)electronics and photonics, compound semiconductors, emerging materials, epitaxial growth, hetero- and nanostructures, applications in sensing, integrated photonics, and quantum information systems, her expertise will help to strengthen Tufts’ research in materials science and electrical and computer engineering.
