Order of the Engineer induction
For more than 50 years the Order of the Engineer has set forth a standard of ethics and dignity for engineers to uphold in their work. Over 100 Tufts students were inducted into the Order of the Engineer on Wednesday 5/16. The group gathered in Breed Memorial Hall and accepted the obligation of the engineer before receiving their ceremonial stainless steel rings.
Tufts School of Engineering takes pride in using engineering as a force for good and the values of the Order of the Engineer align closely with this commitment. As a non-member organization, any graduating engineering student at Tufts can elect to take up the oath and join the order. Those who join pledge to use their skills to serve humanity and use the earth’s natural resources responsibly.
