Student awarded Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship
Joshua Harvey, a third-year mechanical engineering student at Tufts, has been selected to the 2020 Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program. The program awards paid internships to exceptional undergraduate and graduate students pursuing aerospace careers at cutting-edge commercial space companies around the nation. The fellows will also be mentored by accomplished members and leaders of the aerospace industry.
Harvey is a founder of the rocketry team and co-founder of Tufts Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS). He and his classmates celebrated Tufts SEDS’ first rocket launch in April 2019 with the flights of Borealis, Cowabunga, and Space Bo 1. Harvey intends to pursue a career in the advanced development of thermal-fluid systems. He also hopes to foster a respectful, equal, and peaceful space environment throughout his career.
Harvey will be interning at Roccor as part of his fellowship program. Roccor is an aerospace company that specializes in low-cost, high-performance structure systems and thermal management systems.
