Notation of Development (NOD)
All degree track students enrolled in the School of Engineering can receive formal recognition for workshop attendance in the form of a "Notation of Development" (NOD) on their transcripts.
In order to receive the NOD, students must attend at least four "Notation Track" workshops before graduating from a master's or doctoral program at Tufts. Only workshops with "Notation Track" in the description found within the event registration form are eligible. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each workshop to record student progress toward the NOD. Students must register online prior to attending the workshop; location information will be sent to those who register and receive confirmation.
Students who successfully complete the NOD requirements will receive an award notation on their transcript reading “Completion of the Graduate Professional Development Workshop Series." In addition, students will receive a letter of recognition from the dean prior to graduation. Students are also encouraged to list the notation on their curriculum vitae or resume.
