Biography

Dante DeMeo is a part-time research assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tufts University. When he is not working in Professor Vandervelde's Renewable Energy and Applied Photonics Lab, DeMeo is working at his ecommerce company as cofounder and CTO, where he oversees software development and IT. DeMeo was previously an intelligence community postdoctoral fellow and a research fellow at the Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems. He earned his PhD, MS, and BS in Electrical Engineering at Tufts University. DeMeo's research focuses on using optoelectronic devices such as thermophotovoltaics to harvest thermal energy.
